Plain and simple. It sucks. Do not eat there. Service is horrible and so is the food. Should have read the reviews before eating there.

Maybe it's because Argentine places set the bar so high usually, but this place just didn't work for me. The steak was huge, but not very tasty nor cooked well. It's a shame, I really really really wanted to like it, but it's been one of the few disappointing experiences I've had in the area.

Read the reviews before you get here. A) the Ac does not work and they are not going to fix it. B) the meat tasted like if it was reheated C) the meat was cold as soon as it come out. D) the decor of the place is one of the worst in the area I have been in Argentina many times. They have great meat. Find a better place to have dinner.

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT! The reviews are very outdated, the place has been completely remodeled! The restaurant has not only changed owners but the entire environment, the AC does work and the place is in fact very cool. The food comes in very quickly especially when you order their Lunch Special for $8.99 and you get traditional Argentinean and Uruguayan food. The new management has even started a Breakfast Special starting at $6.99. I truly recommend turist and even residents of Sunny Isles Beach and everywhere else to check it out. It has the same name but the the place has turned upside down. The people are super friendly and the cost is not bad since it is a restaurant and you're being served with the utmost attention.

Awful. I came here after a quick Yelp search, looking for some good Argentine grub. San Telmo seemed closest, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Where to start, y'all? The decor and atmosphere of this place is mind-boggingly stupid. The second you walk in, you're greeted by two oversized Brazilian and Mexican flags - so much for "Argentine national pride". At the corner of the entrance, there's this - I'll call him 'guy' (employee) - who's was playing blackjack on the takeout machine. He seemed disinterested, obviously. I was expecting tango, or classic rock, but maybe that guy by the machine had a long day, so we sat through our whole meal listening to soft tunes from the 80s. Yuck! The highlight at San Telmo's was our waiter, though. He threw on one of the worst attempted Argentine accents I've ever witnessed (I'm guessing he was Colombian). I know, it's a funny accent, and everyone toys with it, but this guy was trying way too hard. The service was rotten. After a unenthusiastic approach on explaining the menu, our server was pretty much the 'decider' on what we were going to eat. It turned out that I ordered a trios ($13.99 - steak, sausage, and a piece of chicken). All, of which were undercooked and dry. The chimichurri wasn't aesthetically pleasing, either - it looked discolored. My side of mashed potatoes weren't cooked properly, so I ended up having to use a knife. Overall, the food was mediocre. Slow water refills, and our bread took forever. There's a 15% percent gratuity that's added to the bill, which explains the atrocious experience. Goodbye, San Telmo.

Ordered a medium done Bife de Chorizo... chef must have been watching a soccer match on one of the TVs as it came well done and wasn't tender at all... not what I expect from an Argentine restaurant. Waiter was not friendly at all... not going back and don't recommend. The good: beer was cold.

Disappointing. The parrillada was overcooked, the salad was sour, the meat in the chivito was burnt. I would not recommend this place.

Where from Chicago, we've been here for a few days and this is flat out the best dinner we've had in Miami, great food, great sangria and best of all GREAT service.

Great service and very good steak. Overall 3 stars, but I'll give it a 4 cuz it's so damn cheap for the quality.

nice small eatery complete with wine glasses and white napkins found in the local RK strip mall. menu items mostly italian. shared the mixed grill for 2 ($34). smokey. the chimichurri sauce wasn't my style. they were out of the morcilla so they had substituted more steak (skirt) without mentioning. um ok. supposed to get creamy spinach but just wound up with buttered spinach. meat was cooked technically well, but i'd prefer a place such as la parilla liberty. this place still have the same owners?

We drove by this restaurant while looking for a place to eat a quick breakfast--I noted that it was empty and probably was not a good sign, but my boyfriend said "well, maybe we'll get better service. What's the worst that can happen?" After we ordered, we noticed that the waitress and the chef seemed to have some kind of disagreement and were yelling at one another. My boyfriend and I each ordered a smoothie, and he ordered eggs over hard, plus pancakes, I ordered scrambled eggs with cheese and vegetables. His smoothie came first, and was warm. Mine was cold, but came about 10 minutes after his. We waited for a while to get our food, and the excuse was that there was only one person in the kitchen. But, like I said, it was empty. When the food finally arrived, his eggs were done over easy (not over hard), and the pancakes were missing. My food had tomatoes added in, which I'm not supposed to have for health reasons, but it had taken so long for us to get our food, that we decided not to complain. Since our smoothies were both long gone by the time our food arrived, I ordered water, and my boyfriend ordered a glass of orange juice. He also ordered extra toast. By the time we'd finished eating, there was no juice, or toast, so we had to cancel the order. About half way through the meal, I also noticed that the sides of the tablecloths were incredibly dirty. The tops looked clean, but they never cleaned anything but the tops! That combined with hearing the chef coughing over food in the back did not make me feel great about eating there. When we finally got the bill, I was shocked to find that the "mixed vegetables" that I added to my eggs were charged per vegetable (and cost more than the eggs themselves!) I normally don't find the time in my busy life to write reviews like this, however, I'm now home sick with food poisoning! We definitely got our answer to "what's the worst that can happen?"

They are losing a star for having a day server with an unpleasant attitude. I popped in to get a pair of burgers for my husband and I early on a Sunday afternoon, only to find out they were out of burgers. Weird, but it would have been easier to handle if the waitress who was there was friendly or pleasant or displayed any signs of social skills. Their food may not be bland but she sure was.

It's the hottest day of the year 99 degrees I go to So FL dines and pickup a $30 coupon for $12 great deal.... First bad sign the door is open... Inside it's hotter then outside I ask if the air conditioning is working guy at the counter smiles chuckles and says a little I say goodbye he laughs and says I can sit outside. My coupon expires 10/8 hope I get to use it before it expires...... No wonder they do no business!

Worst food I've ever had...ordered three chicken salads and the lettuce was rotten and the chicken was old and rubbery. When I called the manager ( because I had the food delivered) ... He refused to pick up the salads or issue me a credit. I literally had to get in my car and drive the salads back to the restaurant... In order to get the credit I deserved. Honestly, I am not sure how any restaurant can allow rotten lettuce to leave a kitchen! I felt as though this restaurant is a real candidate for KITCHEN NIGHTMARES.

This is the best Argentinian Parrilla style restaurant north of Miami. It all began with wanting to eat at Emerald Coast, a short walk around their selection and was very disappointing. In the same strip mall is San Telmo a family ran Steakhouse to make anybody's night memorable. The meal started with our server, Gustavo, entertaining us with menu's but he gave me a feeling that I should trust him with my selection and I could not have been happier that I made that decision. We started with a plate of fried cheese accompanied by the house Cabernet, which was very good. As for our entrees I received a humongous beef rib and was told to just eat it with my hands and my guest had a surf and turf with huge shrimps and fillet mignon. As our dinner was winding down the live musical entertainment kicked on and we could not have left so we foolishly ordered a 1/2 bottle of La Linda Malbec, which smelled like strawberry shortcake, I say foolishly because we ended up ordering two. With our wine we had desert of these thin crepe like pancakes ala mode with a little caramelize done at the table. This is truly as good as it gets, I was taught something very important by Gustavo, a waiter's job is not to ask "what do you want," but "What do you like?" They know how to make you happy and they will die trying if necessary.

eddy d is right on about this place. i went to san telmo for dinner with my gf last friday night. a friend of mine who lives in sunny isles told me about "cambalache", an argentinian restaurant in a shopping center right off colins and 163rd, and since i was around the area, i decided to check it out. jm was in the mood for a steak. i was in the mood for some pasta ... so we looked around for cambalache but did not find it. instead we found san telmo. for those of you who dont know. san telmo is an old neighborhood in buenos aires famous for its restaurants, tango parlors and bohemian style. so, back to the restaurant. we sat inside cause the tables outside are kinda crooked because of the uneven pavement. gustavo, our main waiter was SUCH a trip. super friendly guy, super funny guy. in spanish and english. a riot. he told us with such enthusiasm about the specials of the day that i almost changed my mind. but i didnt. i really wanted those spinach raviolis. jm went for the ny steak. medium rare with sauteed mushrooms and mashed potatoes. we were so hungry but gustavo kept us entertained by telling us jokes about san telmo's old owners. what a trip. granted, our food took at least 20 mins to come out. but joan maries steak was perfect. medium rare. SO friggin delicious. the mashed potatoes were so good too. perfect texture. and the mushrooms were to die for... and my pasta was awesome! you can tell the chef puts a lot of love into this .. well, it is his business. i was convinced gustavo was the owner, because of his enthusiasm about everything. but no, the owner is also the main chef. oh yeah, my raviolis, good stuff. al dente, homemade, perfect amounts of ricotta, fresh spinach, fresh tomato sauce. yum. and then... after we were all done .. and gustavo kept on asking us how was 'our diet plan' he came up to us and asked if we were in the mood for dessert. i asked to see if they had panqueque con dulce de leche. (same dessert eddy had) and luckily they do. so we got that too. man. im such a fat ass. at least joan marie gave up, me? hell no! san telmo is not cheap. we spent about 60$ without tip .. oh i had a beer and jm had a glass of wine (a very generous pour) but still. for 60$ it was such a deal. fresh food cooked with love, good service .. what else is there? i will definitely go back.

We came based on the reviews here as we never are on Sunny Isles and needed a recommendation. I don't want to be mean but this place is really not good. Maybe we got the wrong thing but our skirt steak was over cooked + honestly, publix has a better skirt steak cut of meat. No ambiance, dirty bathrooms, lame food but man, did they bring us a nice bottle of Malbec (which wasn't the one we ordered, but it was good). The server was a nice guy too. A star for the wine, the server, no stars for food, bathrooms, and atmosphere. Also, we thought it would be cheap based on the decor and reviews however a skirt steak familial (meant to split) set us back $27 the wine was reasonable $15 (for the house red). For a better steak go to Little Havana Restaurant - same prices, but clean, great service and much tastier. 12727 Biscayne Boulevard, North Miami, FL. For superior Argentinian go to Baires on Lincoln Rd in South Beach.
